Adoption fee:  $200 dogs and $100 cats

If you are interested in adopting a dog or cat from Mixed Up Mutts, please fill out the online application.

You must have an approved application prior to meeting one of our rescues. There is no obligation to adopt but it does help us to expedite the process.

You must provide the name and phone number of your current veterinarian where your pet records are located. If you do not currently have any pets and do not have a current veterinarian, we will need the name and phone number of your previous veterinarian. No application will be approved unless we receive this information.

We accept debit cards, credit cards, and cash at the time of adoption.

About Daisy

  • Status: Adopted!
  • Species: Dog
  • Housetrained: Yes
Daisy is a very sweet and pretty 2 yr. old dog. Her owners gave her up to a shelter because they were tired of all the puppies that they continued to let her have. Well, those days are over! Daisy is scheduled to be spayed soon and wil be available for adoption afterwards. She is a calm dog but would prefer to be in a home that did not have cats. She gets along well with other dogs and people, big and small. If you would like to meet Daisy, please call or email her foster mom, Regan. 219-874-5099 iliveinazoo@mixedupmutts.org

Not Good with Cats

All animals at Mixed Up Mutts are fully vetted prior to adoption.

For dogs, this includes—but  but is not limited to—spay or neuter, negative heartworm test, vaccines (rabies, distemper, leptospirosis, parvovirus & bordetella), microchip, complete doses of intestinal all-wormer, and heartworm and flea/tick preventative.

For cats, this includes—but is not limited too—spay or neuter, vaccines (rabies and distemper), microchip, complete doses of intestinal all-wormer, and Revolution parasite preventative.  Some cats may be tested/vaccinated for feline leukemia or FIV or be declawed.  Please review the description of each cat for more information.

Occasionally MUM will receive an animal who needs more medical attention than listed above. MUM provides this for them yet does not add it to the adoption fee. Occasionally our adoption fees may be lower for special needs or senior dogs. Because of all this, MUM relies heavily on any and all donations!

Please understand the statements about this animal are based upon the foster evaluation of the dog. The animal might behave differently (negatively or positively) in your home. While the animal might be good with the current foster’s dogs, cats, children, etc. it may not be with your animal(s) or children. The animal may be housebroken or litter trained in the home of the foster but may relapse in your home. The animal is represented to the public as it performs in the foster home and any statements made regarding the animal are conditional to that foster home setting. Those interested in adopting should have read all information about the animal and understand they cannot claim they did not understand the facts about this animal as understood by Mixed Up Mutts and/or the foster.  We do our best to provide an accurate age and breed of the animal, but sometimes they are educated guesses. Please understand that statements made regarding this animal are simply overviews and are not guaranteed.
